Hi, I’m Melissa—a Creative Director with over 25 years of experience, primarily in graphic design, with additional expertise in web design and digital marketing, including SEO, social media, and video content. I earned my BA in Studio Art with a concentration in Graphic Design from CUNY Queens College, after beginning my studies in Audio Engineering and Music Business at Five Towns College. Art and music have always been a big part of my life and still shape how I approach creative work today.

I began my career as a graphic designer across industries from manufacturing to engineering, and now lead all creative efforts at a professional services firm in the architectural engineering space. My role covers everything from design to managing the company website and digital marketing strategy.

My roots in design go back to summers in my dad’s print shop, working on a classic Macintosh IIc and learning desktop publishing programs like PageMaker and QuarkXPress. I can still remember the smell of Reflex Blue PANTONE ink! That hands-on experience led to a desktop publishing role at Kinko’s (now FedEx Office), where I gained production and pre-press skills.

Outside of work, I enjoy staying creative—taking on freelance projects, recording DJ mixes, occasionally playing private events, and jamming on my keyboards and bongos while recording songs at home. I’m also a proud chihuahua mom to Pia, who has her own Instagram and TikTok accounts (yes, I manage those), and a longtime Keith Haring fan with a steadily growing collection of his iconic artwork.
